New Business

A friend of mine started making her own all-natural body products a couple of years ago. She’s turned this hobby into a great business … Little Sugar Naturals. She loves what she does and her products are great. She knew she needed a website to reach more people, so she was able to find a great deal on hosting through a buying membership she’s a part of. I’m really proud of her as she figured out a lot of stuff all on her own.

New Website

She asked me to look at her website for some suggestions. She’d like to eventually redo the entire thing, but isn’t quite ready yet, so for now we were just looking for some quick fixes. The first thing I noticed was the quality of her images. She’s got great content, but her images make it a bit difficult to get a good look at things. As an example for her, I took one of her old images of what raw cocoa butter looks like and manipulated it until it looked totally different. She has since then replaced her old picture of the cocoa butter with the one I edited, but I’m going to ask her to send me a copy of it to post here so you can notice the difference. Anyway, the final redo looks pretty good, huh?

New Graphics

Even if you can’t spend much on web design, flash intros, etc., try to get the best quality images possible. I really do believe that clear, quality photos and images can change the entire appearance of your website.
